Experience
With more than twenty years of corporate experience, Karen has worked in myriad HR roles including Head of Global Learning and Development, Senior Leadership Consultant, and DEI Strategist for Fortune 500 and 200 companies. She has overseen the professional development for leadership and management teams, as well as driven the strategy for diversity development for her organizations. Karen’s work has been recognized as one of the top three leadership development programs in the world and earned top awards from DiversityInc. In addition to serving as an internal coach for managers and leaders, Karen has also sat on internal corporate steering committees dedicated to differential development. She spent several years in business and teaching English throughout Mexico, gaining interpersonal skills and cultural insights that heavily influence her work today and inform her global perspective.
An award-winning global learning leader, Karen’s accolades include recognition by Training Magazine Top 125, Brandon Hall Excellence Awards, and AON Best in Class global leadership development awards. She serves as an adjunct faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University as a Leadership Coach in their graduate programs. As a member of several dance companies, her proximity to ballet greats such as Rudolph Nureyev instilled in her the discipline of excellence and gracefully connecting with others through “authentic presence.”
