Anni Townend is a leadership consultant, coach, and author with over twenty years of experience working with leaders to build strong relationships and lead change. Anni’s approach begins with helping leaders grow their self-awareness, enabling them to explore what really matters to them, develop strengths, address things that are holding them back, and inspire others with a sense of possibility about the future.
Core to Anni’s work is enabling senior leaders to be at their best more of the time, in touch with what they truly care about, and connecting this to the difference they want to make through their leadership. Anni is skilled at creating an environment in which people feel safe to have the conversations that matter, be that in the one-to-one coaching relationship, within the executive board/leadership team, or in large-group events. She is inspiring and engaging, and through her elegant facilitation style, she enables people to fully participate. In addition to working with KRW, Anni has worked as an independent senior consultant with SRA for the past ten years. She is the leadership coach on the International Marketing Leaders Program (UK) and has been for the past three years, and is a member of The Marketing Society.
Anni is committed to helping leaders co-create inclusive and collaborative organizations in which people feel valued and respected for who they are as well as what they do. She is the author of two books. The first—Developing Assertiveness—was commissioned when she worked on in-company programs at Henley Business School, and her second, more recent book is Assertiveness and Diversity, published by Palgrave Macmillan. She is currently working on her next book, The 7 C’s of Bold Leadership: Confidence, Curiosity, Courage, Compassion, Commitment, Connection, and Contribution.
