Jon Hockman is a facilitator, executive coach, and organization development consultant with more than thirty-five years’ experience working with leaders to make their best decisions related to strategy, people, and performance. Working at the intersection of the C-suite and the boardroom, Jon’s expertise is working with the most senior leaders—CEOs, founders, partners, directors, and chairs—to navigate complexity and deliver new levels of success.
Experience
Jon has worked with hundreds of organizations around the world in a mix of corporate, government, and nonprofit arenas. His clients constitute a broad range of disciplines, including extensive work in finance, medicine, science, and education.
Prior to his current work, Jon was the CEO of a national leadership development organization, where he drove success through every level of the organization, including significant revenue growth, major increases in customer satisfaction, and extensive staff development. Previously Jon was a major-gift fundraiser for both the Children’s Defense Fund and The American University. Jon grew up in Ohio, studied in Spain, lived in London, and has worked extensively across Asia, Europe, and the United States.
Jon is a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and holds the Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) credential from the International Association of Facilitators.
An introvert who thrives on working with people, Jon is an avid skier, runner, gardener, and cook. He can often be found hiking with his husband and their dog in the mountains near their home in Charlottesville, VA.
